ABOUT THE PROPERTY
An attractive cottage nestled within this picturesque location, Glen Cottage forms an end of three pretty properties set alongside the River Torridge valley amongst unspoilt and establish scenery. The cottage provides cosy two double bedroomed accommodation, which would benefit from some further updating/refurbishment. A large sloping rear garden adjoins the cottage which enjoys increasingly enhanced views the further up the hillside you go.
Located at the top of the garden is an extremely useful block built workshop/store. Above this area is a range of stabling which the current vendors intend to take with them, although if of interest the stabling may be available by separate negotiation, they also rent land close by.
Inside this home on the ground floor is an entrance porch, spacious living/dining room and a modern kitchen with rear access. The first floor provides two bedrooms and a well-appointed and recently fitted shower room. Adjoining the side of the cottage is an external utility room with WC.
For layout and approximate room measurements please see the enclosed floorplan and Virtual Tour.
To front and side of the property are attractive patio style gardens with the area to the side containing a useful brick built store. Steps lead up to the large elevated rear garden laid mainly to lawn with a greenhouse, raised decked area and store sheds. Levelled areas create vegetable allotments and continue to the useful block constructed workshop/store. A range of stabling is located above, which will be removed unless of interest and purchased by separate negotiation. A further useful timber store would remain. A gated access leads to the adjoining council lane to the rear. The current vendors also rent land close to the property extending to just over 1 acre which may be available to continue on a similar arrangement, if of interest. Unrestricted on road parking is available within the village.
The gardens enjoy superb views over the River Torridge valley and in all, Glen Cottage extends to about 0.28 of acre.
